You can control how your document prints by changing the print settings in Chrome. Access the print settings. To access the Chrome print settings, click on the “Chrome settings” button. It’s in the right-hand corner of the menubar. In Windows, it looks like a wrench, and on a Mac, it has three horizontal bars.
Have you ever wanted to print something that you were reading or seeing on your web page? And especially if you are using Google Chrome then printing up that web page is quite easy and let me tell you how it is done.

Till a little while ago, I was taking a screenshot of the page, saving it and then going for the print option. That was till I found the other methods. This method has made printing so easy that it is as easy as printing a Windows document and you can even customize your print jobs like change the layout and even the color.
Web page printout:
Method 1: Not so easy one
- Start by opening the Google Chrome browser.
- Then find the Chrome's main menu button, located on the upper right corner of your browser. This looks like three dots placed one over the other.
- Choose the option Print, when the drop-down menu opens.
- In case, the web page has links for printing then use these links instead.
Method 2: The easy peasy one
Instead of the method above, you can go for these keyboard shortcuts:
- Use this if you are using a Chrome OS or Windows OS - CTRL + P
- Use this if you are using a Mac OS X or macOS Sierra - COMMAND + P
Customizing the print interface
Now, Chrome's Print interface would be open in your Chrome’s current tab. You can configure your print out the way you want. But note that this would vary a bit from operating system to another.
- In the window, you would find Destination, here, there is a button called Change which lets you select the printer through which you would like to print. You would get a list of printers installed in your computer.
- You can enter the number of copies that you want to print under Copies.
- In Layout you can choose the page orientation of your print out. If you want the print out taller, select Portrait, which is the default choice. If you want the print out wider then choose Landscape option.
- If you want your print out to be either a black&white or a color print out, you can choose this option in Color section. But for you to print in color, you should have a printer that prints color.
- Click on More settings to get more options like paper size, margin, paper source and even print quality.
Print preview
Find Print Preview section on the right-hand side of the Print window. Click on it to see how your print copy would come out. You can change how you want your print out to be by selecting or changing the settings you made above. When you hover your mouse over this pane, you get the option to either zoom in and out using a button.
Now, when you think that you would get a perfect print out then click on the Print button.
